The mangled body of a lover
is no more beautiful nor less beautiful
than any other work of art
it is simply being
next to me
near me
in me
With veins popping out
creating roads for my fingers to stroll upon
It has become a city in which I slumber
Awaken and use to satisfy
my hunger
Silence speaks through both white balls
which I roll sometimes or trap
within a fist
Painted with the blood of a cow
for the lover's blood is gone
for the body shall not be tainted again
with its soul's unholy nature
No

This body shall remain
Recover from its past inhabitant
the urge to betray shall not stumble again
into this cave
For what was once wretched
has now been saved
