True, no it's only for a week or so. Then its back to 4minute showers...... so they say.
A poem, some thoughts there, yeah.
See the water is sold overseas and emptied into the ocean (drinking water which can not be used).
They are worrying about another flood this year we had one last year.

yes in times of drought, especially in Texas... it is illegal to water the grass...it is also illegal to flick a cigarette out your window during the droughts...this is because of the fires.
To bathe in clear gold
clean gold
all waste down the ocean's drain;
the holes of well-feed politicians

On the east coast drought has not effected us in getting South Carolina's state hospitality drink which is a cold glass of ice tea enjoyed on the front porch for me. It seems it rains all around us, seldom has time to rain on us. I like to say when it does God is teasing us with just drizzle. The ground is a wet as dust and the dust is thirsty for months. Shallow wells are drying up, deep are a most, 520 feet and dropped mine another ten in the casing just in case. I would think water is more important than black gold or any other kind. I do feel that man has created drought. It has me wondering how timber companies can dig ditches to drain wet lands in order to plant pine trees, cutting old hard wood stands, not allowing them replenish themselves and the core of engineers does not even allow small land owner like myself to dig ponds to catch run off water diverted from timber land, that they would rather see it flow to the rivers then out to the ocean where man cannot use it. What benefits large companies to dry out the earth therefore cannot benefits the small land owners. They don't want the water, we need it, they don't want us to use it, yet diverts it across our land..
This thread you may not have wanted it to get this deep, but summer is pure hell around us. Down 9-10 inches on normal rain fall...

BWP I am a big believer in Climate Change...and in fact I question anyone's motives when they doubt that there is an ecological change caused by man's irresponsibility.
In fact for another poetry assignment I slipped in it while doing a parody of Howl... I won't post the whole thing up because its get really raw..and its long...and really inappropriate but I think you will enjoy this one line
who, suffer in suburbia with a Botox mother who pops Xanax and Valium just to ride in her Escalade while having to listen to her bitch and bitch about the lies of global warming because its quite cold for August,
Also when a guy paid by the Koch brothers does research that states that yeah climate change is true and all the research that was done prior is accurate than you know that yes... it is in fact happening and yes... people do suck a big one.
BTW has anyone on here ever read, Clive Pointing's A Green History of The World... its a great book about the "hows" and "whys" of globalization and its effects on climate change.
But again... I apologize for getting into this topic... i was avoiding going there, but it is a sore point for me.
