I haven't done a Zero Point Zero column for a while, and am not sure if I will again -- it doesn't seem to me to add anything else to the Gotpoetry site beyond what Scott Woods, Victor Infante, and Deb Powers are bringing with their columns.

Do you think it's worth it to bring it back? Be honest -- I'm looking for real feedback here, not stroking.

Tony- I miss you. I always enjoy reading what you have to offer, and I think everyone has something to say beyond what others do (not stroking, I swear). No pressure, but I miss your words.

well, personally i like the variety of words from a variety of people. but from your posts lately you seem to be "fed" up with a lot of things. do the column if you like doing the column. every day new people stop by the site, they won't know whether you ever posted a column. i am not much of an idol worshiper. i love reading your poems. i really like your voice. and when i read your column i get to hear that voice, but if you are not feeling it then stop. i will say that i miss your voice, but what does that matter? there are alot of voices out there. do you want to be heard? do you want to be heard by the people that are here?

Do I want to be heard? Yes.

I'm not posting poems here anymore because it just doesn't feel right to me. I've got them on Myspace for promotional purposes, and my Livejournal gets me good feedback for my new stuff. I'm cool with that.

The column, on the other hand...I did the column weekly for two years when I was pretty much the only columnist on the site. I'm not anymore, and frankly, I think Scott, Victor, and Deb are covering much the same ground and doing it better than I am/was. So my question is more a prosaic one -- is it worth doing a column that I feel repeats a lot of other things others say anyway? If people think that there's something more original there, great; I'll consider continuing. I just don't know if I offer anything more.

I think you offer a unique voice - a strong, opinionated one in a field that needs those opinions. Even when your topics overlap other columns, your perspective is often different. You also have far more focus on the actual nuts and bolts of writing, and I love columns where you use your own work as examples to illustrate points. I'd miss your columns if you stopped writing them entirely. I always look forward to a new one, but like Mayo, I'm a firm believer in 'if it's stopped feeling right, stop doing it'.

I don't know if saying "no pressure" was enough to indicate that I agree with my mom and mayo- don't do it if you're not feeling it just because we want you to.
