The Illest Shogun, Shawn, originally from Queens and now residing in Orlando, has been writing since he could hold a pen. A fortunate victim of the system (yes that's right fortunate), street life, group homes, and a reckless attitude have been by far his best teachers. Along with his wife Eileen, who's taught him some of his most important lessons), growing up in a chaotic but diverse urban environment has provided endless inspiration. With the help of some well-placed friends, he was able to experience spoken word at a young age.
