Always a Hand Waiting for You

Trust there is a hand
reaching from the sky
that can lift you up
during your darkest hour.

Trust there is a hand
to steady your walk through life
when the day’s pressures
cause you to lose your balance.

Trust there is a hand
that can heal the hurt
capsizing your mind and body
as they seek peace and harmony.

Trust there is a hand
outstretched, and always waiting for you.
Don’t be afraid to grasp it
and let it lift you up.

refreshing message indeed i like the capsizing image, makes me think of an ocean of how faith is. sometimes there are storms sometimes its calm. it works with the trust theme. perhaps you could make it more detailed? but i like it as it is too.

A lovely piece; tis so true that Jehovah's hand is stretched out towards us; this poem has a similar theme to something that I've written, I'll look to get it posted on this website. --Joe

I think this is a beautiful poem. I really like that you started each stanza with trust. It paints a powerful message. I also really like that the last stanza because it addresses the fear that comes with trusting.

In my opinion, you do not need anymore detail. The wording you chose is simple yet powerful. I think adding too much detail may muddy the message, taking away from the simplicity of your poem.
