Yesterday, I had the honor of reading several poems through the blind rating link. I commented on all of them although I only rated one. None of the poems that I just commented on and didn't rate show up on my recent comments list. I just commented without rating again through the "normal" rating/commenting link and it does show up. Is there are reason for this? Or did something go wonky yesterday and my comments didn't register at all in the blind rating?

I ask because I was interested in going back and seeing who wrote those pieces that I had read and there isn't a way for me to do that.

I have noticed that sometimes I am allowed to comment without voting and other times I am not. I'd really prefer to only vote when the poem is outstanding, but I love to be able to comment. Does this all depend on how one gets to the poem, which links brought one there?

If it comes up randomly in the upper left corner, and you click on it, you cannot comment without rating. One way around this is, when the poem is up on the page, scroll down to the bottom left and see the title of the same poem (it's a link). Click on it. Then go to the bottom again and click "view this poem". A screen will come up and you will be able to comment without rating.

No, they weren't random "rate me" poems, but rather when you click on "Poems", then on "rate", that takes you to the "blind rating" thing and it seems that sometimes it allows me to comment with no rating and sometimes it does not. It is all a bit confusing. Also, if you click on the stars to comment or click on the comment button to comment it does different things.

I just thought that it might be something to be aware of. Now I check if the comment went through each time. Hard to do in the "blind rating". Perhaps, I can't leave comments with no ratings in the "blind rating" section. That is too bad because I liked the idea of reading a poem without the author's name on it for my first read, it keeps my bile from forming and I can read the poem without the positive or negative reaction that I now have to certain members of the site.

Oh, I understand. Sorry for the mix up. Yes, the blind rating section requires a rating, but comments are optional.

Thanks again. I feel so stupid for having wasted so much time. I had commented many days that way and all my comments went to waste. Such is life!

If you click on the stars to rate/comment you also must rate, but if you just want to comment click on the comment button.
