"priest of no-thing" or priest of nothing" is written by urbanhumility and posted in 2003 also from darkpoetry.com

Flesh.Like.Fire. is written by the darkpoetry.com member XCryingMinotaurX and posted in 2004

These are the ones I checked up on. I am sure there are more to find, it is very blatantly done. You can run a simple google check on the titles to see it. Or check if the poems are avalible to none members on DP. Mine is not, for obvius reasons like this.

kanica_xD herself is still a member of darkpoetry.com but staff has been notified today about the abuse.

EDIT: Since a week has passed, and nothing has been done. I would like to remind the staff that this is about a crime. The question is not IF to deal with it. It is how soon you do it.

You can simply google the titles in question or write Matt Steven the owner of darkpoetry if you doubt what you see on google.

if true, as have been other similar allegations from time to time, this to me is the most heinous of fraud - crimes .

and does require folow up and action.

Account was suspended. After a period allowing the user to respond, the account and poems were deleted.

Also, copyright infringement is not a crime, it is a civil matter. We are also not the police.

john - when i referred to 'criminal' i was taking poetic licence and speaking metaphorically.

i truly enjoy an essentially 'police-free' site!!

Blind_Tiger I want to thank you for bringing this to the attention of the GP staff. I have been writing a blog that I hope to post soon on this very same subject. Before I found GP I posted on another site that sold products like T-Shirts, Cups and whatever. I was told I owned my copyright. So I asked a friend to order one of the products with my poem on it. Sure enough they sold him the product with my poem on it and I still have the product today as proof of the transaction.

But here is where things get out of hand. The attorney I contacted said, I had to prove the company had made enough money off the sale of my poem to warrant taking legal action. Even with plagiarism it is all about the money. The best one can hope for is that whoever commits plagiarism makes a large bankroll off his/her crime.
