Adding a person to your list stops them from commenting on your forum posts, rating your poems and private messaging you.

Some people will like this, some people will hate it. Everyone will get used to it.

Karma awarded for leaving a comment on a poem is now based on your average vote. 5 is the optimum average because the scale goes from 1 to 10, so if you vote nothing but 9's you'll get much less karma than if you rate fairly.


So... if you give noting but 2's you'll get much less karma per comment, and also if you give nothing but 9's you'll get much less per comment.

This is the only way I can think of to balance things out.

Not every poem is an 8 or higher.

Paid members can now delete poems. The option is on the My_Poems screen.

Added My_Replies screen. You can now edit your replies to comments.

Poet rankings are now of 3 clearly defined types: ACTIVE, TOP and ALL

* The Active rankings list all poets that have 10 or more rated poem within the past 6 months. This is a list that measures active poets.
* The Top list is comprised of all poets who have poems open to any type of ranking that have 10 or more poems ranked and have been ranked by .5% of all poets who have submitted poems to the collection.
* All lists every poet counting unrated poems as a 0 score.

Why 6 months for active? Because on the internet 1 year is a long time.
Why .005 or .5% of all poets in the catalog for measuring the votes needed to qualify? Because right now .005 rounds to 8 and as time goes on it should stay difficult to be on that list.

Paid members can now Blank out comments that they do not like.

If you get a comment that just bugs you and you don't want to see it on your poem any longer, go to My_Poems and then click on Comments:

From there you mark a comment and then go to the bottom of your list and if you're a paid member you'll be able to click the Delete button.

The rating remains, the comment goes away.

Paid members can now change their username at will.

Members can now give some of their karma to other members. Just exalt a member's karma and you'll then see an option to give them some of your own karma.

Added section to post and organize your favorite poetry videos.

Voting for finished poems change:
When you vote for a poem that requires a comment or doesn't allow anonymous comments those votes are now marked as votes that required a comment or didn't allow anonymous voters.

When you then switch that same poem to allow comments or allow anonymous voters the old votes for your poem don't carry over.

So... if Jack votes for your poem and give it a 2 without a comment and then you change the poem to require comments your poem will start over with a rating of 0. Then Sam votes for your poem with a 5 and you switch it back to allow anyone to comment your rating will go back to the 2.

All users may now specify the license type for their poems in the finished section.

By default the license type is a full Exclusive Right copyright for the poet author. This would hold true even if no copyright were shown on the poem. Feel free to read up on copyright law here: www.gotpoetry.com/Medi...yright_law
