The poem comments you make now show up under your profile and on the my_comments screen.

Staff and Paid Members can now leave anonymous comments in the Poetry section.

A mechanism will be put in place to report abusive comments to the staff for review. This should keep some of the past anon comment problems from cropping up.

Poem comments and replies to poem comments can now be reported directly to the staff for review.

Working on adding tags to the poetry section. Piece by piece it is going in, so don't expect it all to make sense until I fully announce that the changes are done.

So far you can add tags to a poem you submit. Nothing else works yet.

Tags now work for adding and modifying. Now you can go back and add tags to all your old poems.

Poetry Tags are now completely done and implemented all over the site.

The screen that lists a poet's poems now included the poet's avatar and their poem tag cloud.

The My_Poems screen now shows a tag cloud at the bottom.

Tags can be searched by poet or site wide.

Added Awards icons to your profiles and forums. Now if you win something, people will know it.

Added expanded Recommended stories to the front page.

You now have to register for an account in order to rate poems here.

Ratings no longer show on comments unless you are a paid member.

Negative karma is no longer displayed.

Also there is a new comment screen. The comments are below the poem now.

I have split the ratings of Poems from the comments.

1) You can comment on a poem multiple times. You can reply to any comment multiple times. The comment system is the same as used in Blogs, guestbooks and the news section.
2) There is no longer an option to leave a comment with a rating.
3) You now get karma for just rating poems.
4) There is no way to know who rated what on any given poem.

There are a few more areas of GotPoetry that will require an update to reflect this change.

John, I just visited with a friend of mine that was frustrated about not being able to leave a comment when she clicked on a poem. I had to visit with her a bit to realize why. It was the same thing that stumped me at first. The reader needs to now scroll down to see the comment screen. Something we didn't need to do before. I'm not suggesting you recode your layout, but maybe somehow you need to inform everyone what to look for. Hope this makes sense. I'm definitely not trying to whine.

When you go to rate the poem you get a comment box, just as before.

Do you remember how she looked at the poem? What was she looking for that is now missing? If you remember perhaps I can do something.

People will get used to the new way. I haven't noticed a drop in comment, actually I've seen an increase, all day Sunday and today there have been 225 poem comments, so lots of people are figuring it out. That is good for a Sunday to Monday range.

The site rankings, Top Poets, Hot Poets right now... all include comments as well as poem average in the ranking now.

Whereas before the site focused on average score, it now focuses on unique member comments as well as rating average in the rankings.

If a person leaves a comment on your poem and they are anonymous, then they did not rate your poem. Only people without an account can leave an anon comment. Only signed in members can rate.

You should be able to delete the comment if you don't like it.

Let me know if you cannot delete a comment from your own poem.
