ya, good luck getting this slam going.
i doubt we even have 128 devoted members that join these slams, it's tough enough filling up 16 spots.
there's no hope, this is never going to start.

Then on this page there is are links that says 'Take this Spot'. Click any link that says that and you'll automatically be joined.

You need 7 poems in the finished section and 3 karma points. You get karma by commenting on the poems of other as well as submitting content.

A page slam is just a voting tournament for poems. Its a fun game based on how people respond to your poems. Don't take the game too seriously at this point. We're still working on making it fair and more balanced. Thats why I need you to join.

I noticed as I read through some of these that some are reproductions of well-known poems. I know these were chosen at random but I think it might be a bit unfair, especially if someone rates a poem not knowing it is a reproduction of a famous poet's poem. I think the loser doesn't get a fair shake in these circumstances (to the extent they lose). What do you guys think? Maybe I'm overthinking it. It's just a fun slam after all.

I am in agreement with (epiphany4free) I also am in way over my head, however who cares, its all fun, and exciting reading the many poems. If it were not for the private message from John many of us would not even known of this slam.

It's a bit of a toss, the old page slam, isn't it sometimes.
I mean, I don't mind losing and all that, and there are some awesome poets here, but fuckit man. If you vote for one poem, surely you can read the other one and vote for it as well?
Blondie and I had a close one, until some of you twats out there just started voting for her poem, or is mine just worth fuckall? I've been sitting on 360 points for the last 24 hours, while she climbed to 440.
And I'm not taking anything away from her; in fact I think her poem is much better than mine; maybe it could have been a bit closer, you know?
Just a thought.
