My Selfish Streak

I feel onset of selfish spree
and “THESE ARE WHAT I WANT TO BE!”

I want to be the constant drip that quenches global thirst.
A pure protective bubble
that no abuse can burst.
I want to be the slacken
that undoes dreadful fate.
A self mutating catalyst that creates Love from hate.
I want to be absorbent sponge
which draws pollutions stain.
The altruistic shackle
that nullifies the chain.
I want to be the platform
from which all good can thrive.
The electrifying impulse
upon which dreams survive.
I want to be the ‘Butcher's’ block before his cleave can slice.
The creamcake and the trifle
for those who’ve nought but rice.

An echo for all silent drums.
A mouthpiece for those mute.
A lavish for forsaken slums.
A home for destitute.
A circus for invasive fleas.
A beacon for obscure.
A shield to fend remaining trees.
A total everlasting cure.

I want to be some sanity for those who’ve lost reality.
A distant dot whose spectral flourish explodes image
for those blind.
I want to be the Saviour for all of human kind.
