When The Dreamer Awakens

The world melts while we cry
tears as cold as winter rain,
The seeker prowls the night
looks for souls that wander out
into the mist and fog.
We stumble and we fall
as the path dissolves away,
no solid ground to place our feet
we tumble into space,
try to hold on to each others hand
but lose our grip on the reality
we thought was ours.
There was no yesterday,
there is no tomorrow,
today is just a fantasy.
We do not live in the here and now
there is no substance or proof
we ever existed here at all.
When the dreamer awakens
from his long deep slumber
will we cease to be?
