Initiation2

Drive
to a place where blood is shed on ochre sands
and tears fall through an empty southern sky
In this strange land man and boy
rupture into one
and natures work is born
in molten wombs formed by an endless sun
then struck from earth by life’s design
She holds her heat in rock and breathless valley
Where loves fire bright chases darkening shadows
and dances as gentle fans
waving a course towards the heavens
In comfort he lies
sleeping fast
no care to make or cause a cry
hold tight my son for you are loved
Tomorrow’s dawn shall see you strong
