One. Zero. Four.

Let mine join your apathy
After all, we are not too far from a waterfall
And we can wake in it, erase our mistakes in it
We can take all we need and escape from the words we speak too loudly

One is not to blame for the past, tense though we make it
And silence resurrects me like some convoluted Lazarus
And we didn't ask to be taken from our numbness
Though we couldn't correct less than

No foul moves if we were
Waiting for the closure of a nightbloom flower
Just to tell us it was daytime, time for life

For movement
For whispers
For locked chasms of reassurance
Between yours and my sympathy
We are not too far from a firefight
And we can seep in it, drink deep from it,
We can skip sleep and bask in our bodies ringing through the music

I have only one zero for waking
Another for lies, waiting for truths and slaughtering skies
Another for fences and dives and souls shattering cries into laughter

I have only one not to answer
Otherwise I can, I will, and I do think everything will be
And I can only give one zero to you if I get one returned

And we can orbit each other, two binary stars forgetting
That they could have warmed another Earth
And we can listen to the loudness and remember that
In and for our gravity
We are one.
One and zero

One. Zero. Four.
