Friendship Lessons by oxavier
It gets very difficult when you are sitting all alone,
That’s when we need a friend,
But the type of friend we get is crucial,
There are many kinds of people out there.
I am not saying that I am the best friend,
But I try my best to be one,
Somehow I feel every single person,
Who I take as my friend,
Betrays my emotions at some point of time.
Friends are meant to understand what the other is going through,
But most often I find myself lost,
And no one to actually get me out,
Been let down so many times, but yet I come back.
There are the kinds of friends, who move very close to you,
And they do so to fulfill their own selfish needs,
Each and every time they ask you “How are you today?”
The next line follows “Can you get this for me? Or Can you help me get this?”
Utter bullshit i would say, but my heart aches,
To see so many who I consider close,
Hurting me day in and day out,
Snubbing me in front of others to get a laugh.
Other friends are the ones, who would say something in front of you,
But insult you when in a group,
And the best part is they will do it,
With so much of enthusiasm, as if they waited for this chance.
Now I am all alone and left sad, betrayed
Felt loved and thought I belonged,
But my emotional being falling apart,
It is weak and can no longer hold on.
I am breaking within; the hurt is ripping through my mind
And I take a decision,
Never to take anyone as a close friend,
From experience, they leave you bruised and battered.
But most of all they teach you an unforgettable lesson,
THE LESSON OF LIFE. |
