MUMS LIFE

She cradles the baby to her breast
another clings tightly to her leg
whist a pot boils on the stove
in a life she did not dream of

A husband hardly seen by day light
in a world of linen and starch
her time spent raising new generations
in a twist of life she did not expect

Children color her day, in pastels and grey
feeling forgotten by likes and loves
she carries on regardless
strength in a life where fragility should be

This woman of versatility and smarts
of tenderness and strength
with a love for each of the all
We say from all, We love you Mum
