Praia Inocente (Innocent Beach)

a vista de cima da falésia
a praia pintada em baixo
com agua fria, agua clara
os olhos azul da Antártica
malengue, dança com os tropicos
stipples of burnt red guava chunks
sweet terra cotta rooftops
on white cream cheese
beach front villas
in a bed of refined sugar
sand grains
dried by the blazing crown
residue of Bahia
a visual sucre
lingering on the palate
do Brasil
do Atlântico do Sul
da aragem viver
do tempo livre
dar me á luz
começar de novo

a painted beach below
with cold, clear water
the blue eyes of Antarctica
malengue, dancing with the tropics
stipples of burnt red guava chunks
sweet terra cotta rooftops
on white cream cheese
beach front villas

dried by the blazing crown
residue of Bahia
carried to meet
a visual sucre
lingering on the palate
of Brazil
of the South Atlantic
of a breeze to live
of time free
to give birth
light, to me
to begin again
