Afraid to feel again

There is something different about her...
something I cannot place.
I can see the pain behind her smile,
the sadness in her face.
There is something alluring about her...
something striking for sure,
She is someone I can relate to...
in a world not so pure.
There is something hiding within her,
something I want to find.
I think she's scared to show me...
what dwells inside her mind.
There is something different about her,
she is the same as me,
So much hurt within...
that she can't seem to set free.
She doesn't know that I know,
what she's going through...
She won't let no one in,
because she's afraid of something new.
