The cool kiss of time, nudges me
reminding me to embrace this clippet of life
to hold fast and keep hearts beliefs strong
pulling me away from doubts whispering secrets
Bare and exposed are my weakness's, love, trust, hope
Love; weakened by many blackened hearts
Trust; torn and discarded by lies born from lies
Hope; lost and broken in turmoil that darkens my sight
But stand fast I do, unwilling to let go of my true emotions
although laid bare, my weakness's will make me stronger
Love and Trust will heal their scares and grow again
Hope will give me back the desire to give my heart anew
Truth also will be my comrade
No more will I lie to my emotions
yesterdays sadness will become todays elation
bringing me closer to where I want to be, with you

This is a good piece of poetry my friend, I especially liked the line: yesterday's sadness will become today's elation--poetic and encouraging--those lines will be specifically honoring as well as....happy...and happy to cheer one another..truth.honesty.hope .

As always you write a piece that I can relate to. This is a sound write. Inspires me the last verse.
PS I have now started reading your book cos my Mother was the receipient of your book in Torquay now I can read with no interruptions.
I like the way the book is presented.
I am very impressed.

I am glad you got a chance to finally read the book, Damon, You will find a few over looked typo's, but I the book was set up with a defined rawness. The beach sunrise on the front was taken about 2 hrs from my home. Please enjoy it. and thanks for the comment. dAVE

Your emotions are strong in this poem, producing a metamorphosis in the reader. I, too, like the line, "yesterday's sadness will become today's elation."
