shutchpah

that's a sweet way to spell the nice word anyday
and a lisp is as good as the pout that goes with it

and she said that i had loads of it, and muttered
"s***". It hit where it should and made me wince

the nice and nicest guys sniggered and smiled
nodded their heads and bought her a drink

to cool her off, one went on to say she was hot
and noone paid attention to the red on my face

turning a bright maroon, as in marooned alone
on an island in the middle of the see see Sea

without a soul to keep me company
in the middle of downtown bistro

even a spotlight would have kept me
invisible while she is invincible

how much does it hurt to be that invisible
you don't have to ask Harry Potter

about his invisibility cloak, darn ask me
i will tell you, it hurts so much, that it doesn't

not anymore, i am just as visible as the hat
hung on the hook across the door, in sight

but out of sight, until it is time to walk out
and the sun in the shade is a glare too much

so is my situation, it scalds my skin a deep purple
and smoke on the waters never sizzled the skies

she hogs the sodas and the limelight
i refuse to give up but don't know how to fight
