Love...but I Cannot

Years of knowing you has changed me
...Mind, this body, soul.
I was in peices and torrents!
...Foul,dead,no control.
In the end is a creation!
...Good, Sound, always free.
I owe all to you my best friend.
...Happy, glad, now me.
I am now ripped and tied to you.
...Can't breath, i'm stuck, drowns.
I love you but you don't love me!
...it Stings, it cuts, frowns.
Scared to tell you for fear you leave.
...left, gone, now away.
Quiet I must be to save us,
...I want, I need, stay...

Wow, that was great. That is a format of writing I have never seen before, but it worked so well. I really did feel sad for the subject of this poem, that is more then I can say for most "sad" poems. A great picture as well, captures the vibe the poem puts out there. I just wish so much that last line said to stay. Oh well.
