Rich on Friday, Poor by Tuesday

I'm not ashamed to be middle class
But Friday is my day to
get service instead of serve and
buy instead of ring out

And Saturday? Well that's the day to
to drink
and smoke
and, of course, be merry
To over eat and then
Still have desert twice!

And oh yes! Sunday!
Funds are decreasing, but c'mon it's Sunday...
The day to get up late and go out to breakfast
At the little place at the end of the street
We'll both get coffee and egg specials
With an order of french toast to share
And tip the waitress good 'cause we know what it's like

And what's football without a 6 pack to split?
We could even go in on a dutch
I don't think that'd be too much

But Monday. Ah Fuck Monday.
Mondays the day you pull dollars from
this weekend's pant's pockets
To put in for gas
and extremely necessary early morning coffee

Tuesday. Aaaand we're back.
Back to the middle class
Where, I think I told you right?
I am not ashamed to be
Back to scraping change
And putting in $2.47 for gas
Because that's what the change in the car ashtray amounted to
Back to being hungry enough to find Ramen noodles delicious

That's okay
Better to be rich half the week
And dead broke the other
Then half-broke the whole week

I see that you have fallen victim the the low rater that rates and does not say why they rate. I shall help you with that problem. Your poem has a lot of great detail to it and that it sooo nice to see.
I think we can all relate totally to the idea behind this piece, well done.
