Wax

by sedubah

I only let it happen once
when I used a bobby pin to clean my ear
At first, I had to feel
I really had no idea how deep my ear was
I touched my ear drum; believe you me a mistake
which caused a shock wave to engulf my entire face

So I only let it happen once, I mean get too deep
However I was amazed at how much wax
had collected, here’s the facts;
enough to make a candle glow
had I kept digging, I’d surely find more
and it’s no wonder, I said “huh” so much
when someone called my name and such.

Right in a desk drawer are assorted tools;
gem clips, bent this way and that
their only purpose, to scoop out the wax

I used swabs, but they just seem to shove it back
I heard if you wet them and insert with a twist
you can tickly your ear drum and no wax you’ll miss

Those store bought drops
you drop in your ears
just swoosh and slosh
and bring me to tears
and I took this thing and suck it all out
but it scared me that
my brain might just get caught

so I only used it once

So to get to all that wax and stuff
I have to use my tools and such
or use a key if it is thin
if I can’t fine no bobby pin.
