having just read a poem about vegetarians this is a complete turn around, and I have to say I wont be aching for a pie of steak and bacon but your writing had me taken : ) ....a tongue twister indeed and might I add the whole meat pie thing is fairly new to me having come from the states and moved to Australia . In America we eat our pie sweet and this whole thing would not have made any sense to me at all a few years ago.....I would like a scone right about now though : )

Welcome to Australia.... you'll find many a pie over here, it's almost the national dish!

My wife made the mistake of bakin' a steak and bacon pie - when I heard the phrase, it set me off on a chain of nonsense!

yeah, I'm sort of semi-vegan, only about 1/3 of my meals have meat in them. Maybe this poem will turn more readers into vegans! Thanks Anna.

I should have issued a warning. It's dangerous to salivate or giggle while eating steak and bacon pies. Could cause you to choke on the bacon. And I ain't fakin!!

G'day Rory...
loved the twists and turns in this poem. Tongue twisters are harder to recite when your giggling.
