vile ghostly flesh

A deeper part of me
beckons beyond
this vile ghostly flesh

I heard the heart of death
beating in the chest of hell
it is steady and strong

Innocence
has not yet taken her last breath
she is fading away in the arms of regret
soon no one will recgonize her lovely face

Changed
by the cruel and indifferent hands of time
fading away to endlessness , having the last laugh

Death and Time
are intimate upon the bed of eternity
as my heart beats one less note in their ancient song

I am but a string in their symphony
an orchestra of vile ghostly flesh
