I'll fake that I'm alright
If you'll pretend you kinda care
Converse with false pretense
To discover which of us is scared
Don't consider it resistance
More like a grade school dare
And give your effort to something
That really isn't there
Cooties, monsters & imaginary friends
Insane notions that keep the crazed sane
Simplicity has seemed to have met its bitter end
Can we go back to this time?
So long ago,
When we defeated darkness
By keeping our eyes closed
But when we open them,
Will we all be alone?
Complexity is cancer
Sent to kill us all
Some sooner than later
Laugh and enjoy the fall
