To Love A Poet

To Love A Poet... Very Happy

Is to sweetly suffer every waking moment
Through emotions deeper than the deepest night
Within the sweet throes of that manic torment
All wrongful thought seems suddenly so right

Sweet words deliciously invade the senses
and play a symphony straight to the heart
Each lovely verse can weaken the defences
and shatter one's complacent world apart

Creative minds bring life to ordinary
painting word pictures so brilliantly
Changing normal to extraordinary
A visual feast for everyone to see

To love a Poet is to love forever
and a love for poetry's the reason why
It's a love that binds creative souls together
and allows the true poet spirit wings to fly..

A wonderful write, Phoebe. I belive it to be true that a poet's love " binds creative souls together". This could be a poet's love anthem. Very well written. One of my favorites now. Love you too.
