Cue Music

Art of the muses here thee are
Arias and memoirs becoming one
Bringing sadness or happiness
Conditional to the odysseys

Sonata holding me fondly
Heighten my spirit
In times of quiet or melancholy
Jubilee, delight or fervency

Lyrics whispering the stories
Citing those who crossed my path
Touched my life…
Leaving traces in my heart

Phrases reciting sentiments
Of every experience lived…
The expressions, the gestures
Ecstasy of love for those
My life I shared with and I still remember…

An anthem for my guardian angels
Protectors from life’s misfortunes
Those who were there
Offering me a safe heaven

Music that invokes the soul
Listens to the voice that intone
The tales of bad experiences
False friends, scams and traitors
Those using a masquerade
Served a purpose and abscond

A harmony that gives advice and brace
Makes me smile at the recollection
Those times of tender years
Innocence of kids’ adventures

Melodies that carried me to sorrow
When duty called my name
And I embarked to a mission
That wounded my heart, and ripped my soul
And relapse will only cease when I`m gone

Euphony extant in the greatest moments
The altar, the darlings, the talent
Coups which made me feel glorious

Ballads flawlessly emerging
Durst to survive
In the midst of any tempest

Oh! Those songs making me feel better…
When I am broken-hearted, ashamed or absorbed
When I`m happy, sad, obnoxious, or bored
When I`m being witty, talkative, hyper, or warm

A cappella escorting me on my trek
From north to south and the far away
Recalling faces I won`t see again
Sailing to cosmic places I`ve been before

Canticles convey the past
Escorts the present
Using the body to predict
The fettle of my inner nature…
