Watercolor

White eyes dyed; black and bleeding now
the ink is sinking down
where the dried blood remains
everything crumbles inside below…
blackbirds are singing her name now,
just let it all go...

great poem! I really like the first line, and the long complex sound of it - it's wonderful to say it over and over again!

I lost my mother recently and am still in some horrible state of grief. This poem spoke so loudly to me. I really love it.
