the man in the moon

by omegapaf

" in a big country, dreams stay with you " - stuart adamson.

the moon made mankind
without the tides, no food on shorelines we would find
it made man cruel and kind
the moon goddess was the first to produce marriage vows that bind

saturn 5 rockets took us to the moon
though we wont be going back there soon
the first female chinese astronaut
a lesson to the west to be taught
half light and half dark
the moon is the starting mark.

blue moon.

wow! this is so profound my friend! I sometimes think we destroyed the mystical quality of the moon by going there but at the same time find it exciting that we can travel into space and explore what's out there. a superb write!

" the moon goddess was the first to produce marriage vows that bind ", because it has always been there since before mankind and many past religions used to swear their vows on the moon.
This is really profound, dear Paul.
still brooding,
