The Retreat

Like the luck of the draw, I will not pull a straw.
For I am merely a pot, at the potters hand. I will not fall into the sinking sand.

As the duck man says, grasp tightly like sand at the hand. I fail to contain the
grains as I planned.

So do as you wish, like a barking deer, I must now disappear.
I've done enough to try and make things clear, so my apologies to you for trying to steer.

I hand over the torch to the true pioneer, the one who always was the motivation to your ear.

So do as you wish, I wall take no part, in the undoing of a bears poor heart.
I now walk away with no words to say, good luck duck man, my cards I will not play.
