Your Poem Dances

by MichaelFirewalker

with that slow pounding
round rhythm that turns
circling in and about
upon itself deeper
wider sweeter until
all that bleeds weeps
intensity whirled
in pureness unfurled
with unbridled joy
in the swift inward curl
of its own red heat

Wordplay is fun, and it sounds to e like the poet is having a good time here. playing with the sounds of words. The poet Carl Sandburg was very good at this. You might look him up and read some of his stuff out loud. I think you'd like it. Warm Wishes, Tasha

Are you familiar with Edith Sitwell? and Amy Lowell? Both very interesting poets of the metaphysical in their own ways. How did you come to your interest? Warm Wishes, Tasha
