My Northern Light

blessed are you
treasured quiet flight
velveteen sighs sealing peace
gently-shadowed and silent-souled
like a northern wolf striding over open tundra
you cross interlocked folds into a bleeding needing mind
then reach to hold me to you in secret crofts
carpeted by dew-kissed sphagnum moss
forest love spread wilding fine 'neath
molten shafts of dawn-stoked light
you lie beneath these eager
padded paws and shine
green life into mine
