No Rest No Peace

waking up afraid, another day and another.

waking up cold and alone another day another.

the sun hangs high lighting so many faces,

yet these bones are cold cannot feel the warmth.

tremble shake how this existence aches.

woke up scared and nobody would listen.

they only wanted to be heard for a second.

can one find rest, if all they do is run in their sleep.

woke up blind to any sign of self worth.
