Missing You

I miss you at night as I stare at the ceiling
sick to my gut, with that loneliness feeling

I miss you each day, as I stare at the sun
yet deep in my heart, we beat there as one

I miss you and want you, here in my arms
to hold and protect you, from all of life’s harms

I miss your smile, the taste of your lips
I wish you were here, to share passion grips

My mind often wanders, to the last night we shared
locked hard in love, no moment spared

Our hearts beating faster, ‘till that orgasmic shrill
If I listen real closely, I’m hearing it still

Collapsed in a heap, skin glowing and weary
kissing your cheeks, post sex, are all teary

In just seven sleeps, we’re together once more
then two short weeks later, you’ll walk out the door

It won't be the last time, short visits will do
for I know very soon, I'll be "formal" with you
