“The Burden She Carries”

Little girl dragging with a handsome burden on her back
Breaking her down slowly into a puddle of anguish and sorrow
With no such thing as hope for a better tomorrow

Seeping deeper
And deeper into the cracks of depression
Until she is left as nothing but a troubled soul
In need of confession

In need of someone to dig deeper, to pull harder,
And save her
From suffocating alive in a grave she dug for herself

But didn’t burry herself in

The grave in which she waited patiently for bastards and morons
To heave more and more soil onto her cold body
Because she was to weak to stand up…

To weak to climb out…

To weak to walk away…

To weak…to even grab the hand that anxiously waited for her chilling embrace…

So now…
She is buried up to her waist
And can no longer stand up, climb out, and walk away…

But she can look up,
Reach out,
And grab the hand that is still anxiously waiting for her chilling embrace…
