Poems - Nonsense

Nonsense

All I get is bitch and moans
Every once in a while maybe some groans
I get so sick of dealing with crap
He thinks it’s funny and try to give dap
Common sense seems to be forgotten
Some people say I made him rotten

Rotten because I tried to give the best
It’s turned out to be a difficult test
Why is it when you try to do right
Common courtesy is out of sight
Clean your room, brush your teeth he is told
You’d think saying it over and over would get old
Did you clean your ears, take a bath and more?
Don’t forget the towel and remember what the soap is for
When you drive don’t forget the speed limit

Police are everywhere looking for a car with you in it
You have no license, no tag, no insurance
Do you think the courts have terminal endurance
Endurance to deal with nonsense and such
As if everyday they don’t have to deal with much

People like you makes it hard for others
Bringing on civil fees for those in trouble
Trouble with the law or so they say
Fines up in the thousands is what we’d pay
It’s hell being a mother and a father at best
I guess when I’m dead, I’d get some rest

I’m a tad older, can’t take much more
If you’re not gonna change, there is the door!
He tries or so he say, and sometimes makes my day
But I’m always on guard for a positive change that probably won’t stay
Even so we must believe that one day our child will achieve
The fallacies of life in which they live
For society, be it negative or positive freely gives

This sounds like a new situation for which you've endured. We do our best as parents and PRAY like there is no tomorrow that they will learn about the responsibilities, which will help them become a better person. Yes, sometimes we give them enough rope to be free to make the right choices, but sometime we find them hanging themselves with it. Go figure! Sad

How else will they learn. You sound like an amazing Mother, Queen, and Friend. I your writes are true blessing for me. I have a son as well, so trust me when I say, "This write will be a lesson learned for me". -Much Love and Thanks- Christa Smile
