Can't stop my tears
Lost so many years
Nothing I can say
Nothing I can do
Have to say goodbye to you
I'm sorry I never showed
or even told
How I really felt
Or of what I really thought
Maybe I can make it
To let you know
That even though
You were not my blood family
I always will have love
in my heart for you
I looked up to you
Always thought you were cool
Felt a special understanding
I was just a little girl
So wrapped up
Never knew how it would feel
On this day now I see
In my heart you're like family
Today is here
All that's left of me
Is a mere
"I'm Sorry"
I can wish, hope and dream
Things happened differently
Unfortunately
that's not reality
Please accept my apology
And know
that all your thoughts and prayers
Ever you may have had for me
Have not gone unnoticed
Really, truly I care
Fond memories
Warm thoughts
I wish I shared

How lucky
Your family
To have been able to show
their love
To have you on their side
How blessed are those
Just to have known
If only I could've shown
What you meant to me
I was a fool and unable to see

So sad tht now it is your time to go
And it's not fair!
I never got to show you I cared!
Because I do
And truly I will miss you

You leave us here
In our hearts we keep you near
Time for God to set you free

Far and Wide
