I Cut Myself

I cut myself last night,
And I really don't know why.

ten slices on my arm,
not once did I cry.

I saw my mom last night,
she did'nt look like her.

I cut myself last night,
and I think it's because of cancer.

emotive, poignant and shows a strength in your writing that is not scared of important topics that should not be swept under the carpet but that need to discussed, writing it in poem form is such an affective way of doing it....well done and take care...DB

painful inside, cutting for relief. Why is that? Need to find someone to talk, to lean on, to cry, grieve, and to get stronger. before the cuts become a labyrinth to be lost and never to find the way out.

i get it, i always did. i used to cut years ago, just to release all the pain within. the sight of the red becomes the high you crave
