Melting Tree

Behold, the bristles of the pine
Shimmer with the pearlescence
Of white crystals,
Which chisel their texture into the lush branch
In silent ambles,
Streaming across the labyrinth,
The maze of intricacy
Created by the green blades
Aligning in an unparallel fashion

Behold the sage
As it intertwines with the ice,
And affixes its leaves
With the frosty captor-
Striking no compromise
Or reluctancy;
Soon to replenish the cistern
Deep below;
The water shall break free
Of its solidity
And the tree shall melt away
Forevermore,
And return to its beginnings
In the moon chastened snow...

very pretty imagery written with a strong classical tone- liked the religious undertone and though strongly apocalyptic there is a slight hope in it, which makes this piece very comforting.
