Redemption

The Redemption

He has given The Chief
A call again!
Yes, he has given The Chief
A call again!

He doesn’t want
To talk to me; I’m not a man;
I’m a fool, a stupid boy,
Who never listens, nor understands.

He has given The Chief
A call again!
Yes, he has given The Chief
A call again!

I reported him to the feds,
Sent in some forms
To get all my money back
From this crooked man.

“Leave me alone, stupid boy;
Get back to your work!
You’re the last person I
Want to see today!”
He often used to complain.

I used to laugh and laugh,
To all the ludicrous things,
Like this, that he would oft say;
Knowing full well, though
That one day, I would get
My own way.

He has given The Chief
A call again!
Yes, he has given The Chief
A call again!

I don’t care about him though;
I’ve moved on and seized the day.
He don’t want to talk to me
That’s fine by me, I’m okay.
I’m not a stupid as he thought
I am mightier and smarter
Than even the great Cassius Clay.

Scoundrels like him will never
Be trusted, respected,
Or looked up to by others.

And so, if I happen to see him,
Some time soon, or later in life,
I hope these reflections in his mind
Would have remained.

My big smile, strong presence;
Pride and duty;
To have men, like him,
Told “Good riddance,”
And locked away!
