Moments of Elsewhere

by varivas

In the silence after sex, still captivated
by the warm spot two share.
Tucked together, satiated
in the silence after sex, still captivated
by smell of sweat, intoxicated
expressions words would never dare
in the silence after sex, still captivated
by the warm spot two share.

The words and diction fit the poem well enough, and I really enjoyed your "abc, acb" pattern.

Thanks for stopping by and reviewing. This form, with the rhyme scheme and repetition, actually has a name. I found it online somewhere but now I can't find it again! LOL. It may be a type of rondeau.

I'm up against this in the random slam! I don't stand a chance! I really like the feeling of comfort this left me with and I think it's something 99.9% of readers will relate to. The flow and vocabulary is magnificent. I'm very gracious in defeat and ethically none-competitive, (apart from when watching or playing football, (soccer), that is)- so it is a pleasure to tell a 'rival' poet that their work deserves to beat mine! take care v- spence

Thanks for stopping by and commenting. I've seen some really random scoring on poems in slams, both live and page slams. You never know. Right now I'm sitting in the last period of the last day of school before finals and senior pranks are running rampant. Mice and crickets in the halls. Fireworks in the halls. Baby oil down the stairs. Thank god I finished our review for finals yesterday and I don't have to teach. Supposedly there's going to be something big at 1:30. That's 5 minutes from now. Whew...
