Guacamole

I will not taste that guacamole.
It looks all full of e coli.
Gooey green like someone's snot.
Don't waste time, you cannot
make me take one taste!
My mouth closed tight,
won't eat one
single
bite.

What is a nonet?
A nonet has nine lines. The first line has nine syllables, the second line has eight syllables, the 3rd has seven syllables, etc. down to line nine that has one syllable. It can be on any subject.

    Thanks for commenting! And WONDERFUL!!! I'm thrilled you're going to try a nonet. That was why I decided to start writing in form for kids. I am working on a book that is both poetry and about poetic form, aimed at middle school kids. I have a friend who is illustrating it too. It'll be a couple more years in the making but it's something I'm excited about doing. Hugs, Victoria...

oh great! I love guacomole and now I'll never be able to eat it again without thinking of this poem! thanks a lot! and Cyndi and I are going to a Mexican restaurant for lunch tomorrow! I had to read this today!
