Endearing Highs

Trapped mentally, frozen time
Opposing thoughts are sublime
Thinking of her, answers arise
Regarding myself, questions are lies

Dawn breaks though sunset grows
Nighttime conquers daybreak’s woes
Summer folds, winter looms
Duality shortly presumes

Wind rises, dust scattered
Sadness revived, joy shattered
Close your thoughts, I open mine
Seeing ambivalence in its prime

As I write, she ignores my life
Paying heed only in strife
Distant thoughts, opposite cries
Beckoning realms, endearing highs
