Two Years

Two years gone by,
girl time sure flies;
sometimes faster than I might like.

At times I wish that with one word
I could stop the world
to be with you.

But time runs so fast,
now the futures become the past,
but the present is where
we’ll always stand.

Side by side,
hand in hand;
I think that God must have planned
for us to be here
Together.

It seems our hearts
just fit so well, there was only time
before I fell
in love with you.

I know that time
brings with it, change.
Things that started out as new,
soon begin to fade away.

The hours grab a hold
as they go round, and pull
all back down to the ground;
without a sound.

With every second that piles up,
builds us up;
And we will not fall down.

Since I know you, I know everything this song meant. Those years went by really fast, but this is a nice poem to look back on.
