Glen, I would be happy to raise my own beer in a proud "Salut" to anyone who has managed to be a husband, a father, and a grandfather within their lives -- three of the most proud careers any gentleman could ever wish. I really love this poem Glen...It's very powerful and moving...I can feel your thoughts and emotions....Just today I was thinking about protesting to God regarding our all too short life span and frailty...why couldn't we have been made more like angles ?...oh well....Take care buddy ! ....Bob .....ps... Hello Glen! I've just discovered your work and will read some more of it when I get the chance, as I really felt the emotions of this, which means it is a good write in my book.
However, shoot...only in your mid seventies??!! Why you could have a quarter of a century ahead of you to live to the fullest!!

I almost missed this one-perish the thought-
what a wonderful poem with heartfelt expressions. I totally understand your point here---sometimes I think I should write my own obit well in advance and then make a list of everyone I care about--but so many, just like you--
