FATE

by Dr.anant

An angel came to me
offering me a huge pumpkin
And I refused to accept it
thinking it a useless thing !

The angel went to my neighbour
who became the owner of that offer
He cuts open that big pumpkin
which was filled with jewels and gold coins

Sometimes our fate
comes to us pretending as an ugly clown
We don't even entertain him
And regret later on
When the time is already gone !

A pithy and poignant piece on how we should be grateful for the littlest things in life. Well done, well done indeed. -- j.

There is a Sanskrit story about a beggar who loses his fortune a similar way. I had it in my subconscious mind and put it in my own way. Thanks
