Retention Song

by spence

We Pirates left you to die
Sold lives to the merchant ships
Left the workers that fed 'I'
In the bottomless pit

But the banks were made strong
By the hand of the almighty
And we sold off future generations
Triumphantly
(Indefinitely?)

Won't you help to build
These wrongs of freedom
With all you ever had?

Retention song
Retention song

Emancipate my breed from wretched slavery
None but yourselves can free our kind
Please pay up for our indemnity
Without you we can't survive

How much will you up our profits
While we stand aside and look?
Your tax is just a part of it
We've got to cook up the books

Won't you help rebuild
Our realm of freedom
With all you ever had?

Retention song
Retention song

We'll be subsidised with your slavery,
But how else will you fill up your time?
Have no fear for wasted energy
Because we'll get it just right this time
As long as you work for our profit
While we stand aside and look
Some say your just a part of it,
But you've earned everything we took

So won't you help to build
These wrongs of freedom
With all you'll ever have?

These wrongs of freedom

Thanks to Bob Marley for inspiration from beyond the grave.

G'day Lee... Oh yes (Score: 1 )

G'day Lee...
Oh yes...the banks throw their chests out when they announce their multi-billion profit, but the second there's a slight downtown...out the door you go, we'll give you a call when we need you again. Please don't die of starvation while you wait though...your expertise will be needed.
Bloody sharemarket companies, I just love them
Yeah, a good song Lee.
