Natural Selection In A College Cafeteria

by Justinpdrew

Here you are, the lone single girl in a room full of guys
Sitting, laughing, all eyes on you
Nature has given you pick of the litter.
Now, tell me, who will you choose?

Will it be the loud obnoxious fat guy?
He surely doesn't think he has a chance.
He covers his insecurity with dick jokes
and reciting scenes from a movie he saw last night on TV.

Will it be the quiet, awkward, thin guy?
You know he'd kill for a try
But the thought of having you terrifies him to the point
that he is paralyzed, saying not a word. (BRAIN FREEZE!)

Will it be the flirtatious douchebag?
Who pays his comrades no attention,
Save for a few demeaning, spite-filled insults
While he devotes all his compliments to you.

Will it be the nerdy intellectual?
Who pumps you full of useless information
in a misguided attempt to impress you.
KNOWLEDGE does not impress you, the fool should know.

Is it the laughing baboon?
Unsure of what to say, too nervous.
SO NERVOUS that he laughs too loud at everything you say
SO NERVOUS he'd have a stroke if you spoke to him directly

Or, wait... is it me?
You're looking over here, is it me?
You're staring right at me, could it possibly be me?
Or, wait, there's someone behind me, I turn to see a

Black dude, baggy jeans, sideways hat
Like he walked out of EVERY RAP VIDEO EVER
Cell phone held loosely off his ear while he makes eyes at you
Your fans are horrified as you stand up to move to his table and

DING DING DING WE HAVE A WINNER.

Yes, I like it! About stereotypes and personal loss. Why didn't you put in "the Jew" as one of those nerdy guys? it would have balanced the stereotype of the black rapper guy. And "The good Christian"? If no balance, it as just, to you, in your eyes, another beautiful girl falling for a loser black guy. This could easily ber repaired, with the statement of one other stereotype, or two, to balance, and not sound so racist, like, "all the black rappers types get the good ones"... Just my opinion... Damned fine and realistic work. It's a shame that intelligence and physical good-looks so often do not go side-by-side with women, at least not for the general norm. Wait, now that sounds like a stereotype that I am saying and I'm sure I'll get called out for it as well -- but from personal experience (as from yours); good-looks and intelligence are not often par for course. Then again, there are those who say that good looking gals don't have to be intelligent (sigh...) -- j.
