Scars

Cast in the darkness
is a wounded heart..
With cars of loneliness..
and hatred..and lies..
Wears thy mask
with an empty smile..
A pretension no one sees..
a jester in disguise..

In thy solitude
you can hear it scream..
A dirge from thy soul
wanting to be freed..

"Oh God of Death come to my heed..
my soul is agony..can you not feel?
Come to me my dearest..hear me plead..
Hide me in thy shadow where I can find peace..
Leave me not into this world
of shattered and broken dreams..."

I was attracted to this because of the title... I'm a papa rach fan and scars is one of their best songs but without taking anything from you, this is an excellent piece filled with feeling!
